Tennis superstar Roger Federer will quit the tennis competition temporarily until the start of the 2021 season due to his recovery from surgery on his right knee.
Federer tweeted on Wednesday saying that he will be absent of the game in the rest of 2020. A one-year rehabilitation allows him to have a quick arthroscopic procedure on his right knee and get full preparation for the future game at his highest level.
Federer had arthroscopic knee surgery in February, which made him miss the clay-court season including the French Open. The Fresh Opening was rearranged to September and the big game Wimbledon was canceled this year.
