Libya’s prime minister Fayez al-Sarra come to Turkey to have a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Thursday. Erdoğan celebrate welcome the Libyan leader and celebrate the cease-fire in Tripoli. Both of them have a high chance of cooperating to protect Libya from Haftar’s attack.
Government of National Accord in Libya retrieve air superiority after signing two agreements with Turkey last year. After Turkey had given a helping hand in the Libya civil war, Sarraj seized Tripoli and made putschist Gen. Khalifa Haftar to withdraw his troops back.
The Wagner Group’s mercenaries from Russia has backed from western Libya to Jufra while the United States made itself distance away from Haftar and criticized Russia for its deployment in fighting aircraft to Libya.
Erdoğan has announced to strengthen the cooperation with Sarraj’s government. Their cooperation seems to be an autonomous agreement.
