High performance of the Turkish automotive industry in the coronavirus pandemic has attracted global companies that are considering moving their production line away from China.
The Automotive Suppliers Association of Turkey (TAYSAD) announced that it will launch a promotional campaign in Europe to boost Turkey’s status being a trustworthy automotive producer. PR campaign with $1 million will be used to promote the Turkish auto industry’s production capabilities to the European auto giants. TAYSAD said they targeted those automakers who want to move their production away from China and forecasted to get $1 billion in investment from automakers through the campaign. The promotional campaign will lure carmakers in Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
To advertise the industry, foreign journalists and representatives from Europe will be invited to Turkey. Senior sector leaders from Turkey and Europe might also participate and to discuss any possible future cooperation.
Turkey is a major auto parts supplier now. The annual exports of the automotive industry Turkey worth nearly $30 billion.
